METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING UNNECESSARY CABLE IN BURIED CONDUIT

PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device with which an installed cable can be removed efficiently and economically with a buried conduit not damaged and the noise suppressed. CONSTITUTION: A water jet nozzle 4 which is directed slantly forward and whose direction crosses an axis or its neighborhood is provided on a front end. A protective wall 7 made of extra-hard material is provided at the front part in the direction of the jet line axis of the nozzle 4 to constitute a scraping head 3. The scraping head 3 is moved forward while it is made to rotate or turn reciprocally in a buried conduit P and, at the same time, a high pressure water jet is spouted out from the nozzle 4 in a direction slantly forward. With this constitution, a cable C is scraped spirally from its end parts easily as if a pencil is scraped by a pencil sharpner easily.
