The rail comprises inner grooves (12,13) which have an opening (14) in at least one point in the support rail (10) for the insertion of the holding and connecting elements into the inner groove.The openings have a length in the longitudinal direction of the inner groove which is smaller than the length of the longitudinal edges (21) of the holding and connecting elements (20,30-33). The openings are restricted to one side wall of the inner groove.
