This proposed device (Fig. 1) contains two contact cooling - compression plates (1,2) and collectors, positioned on their periphery (20) for air blasting through the nozzles (22). In order to avoid deformation and warping of the glass sheet, air blasting collectors (20) are positioned in the form of parallel sides, which are placed between the nozzles, while the cross - section is at least three times larger than the nozzle (22) cross - section, and the distance from nozzle (22) openings to the surface of the glass sheet sides equals two to six diameters of the openings. Several versions of implementation are proposed for the invention, which differ in the reciprocal placement and equipment of nozzles (22) and positioning of contact cooling and compression plates (1,2). For instance, one contact cooling and compression plate (2) is manufactured from metal and tightly fastened, while the other (1) is formed as a metal box (11), covered by an elastic membrane (12), while cooling water is pumped into it under pressure. The plate (2) is equipped with a coating in the form of an elastic flexible layer (7) with the heat conductivity resistance 0.1x10<-3> - 0.25x10-<3> m<2>kW<-1>. The membrane is formed from an elastic deformable polytetrafluoroethylene film (16), the thickness of which is 0.1 - 0.4 mm and heat-conductivity resistance is 0.25x10<-3> - 5x10<-3> m<2>kW<-1>, whereas the outer surface is covered by a metal plate (17).<IMAGE>
