Method of applying stopper on bottle

The method involves applying a stopper on a bottle whereby the stopper is inserted in the bottle opening and is formed as a blank (11). The stopper is pressed on the bottle mouth by a press mechanism. A seal (17) is placed between the blank and the bottle mouth area. The blank is preformed for positioning of the seal before pressing of the cover section. The force is applied on the blank by a spring.
