A sleeve (2) encloses a through channel (3) which can be closed in an airtight manner by a cap (5) connected to an insert part (4). When the instrument is introduced, this cap is swung from a closed position to an open position. The insert part has a slot-shaped sliding guide (6).The prismatic cutout (7) of the insert part serves as a joint socket in which one end of the cap engages while the other slide in the guide slot. The overflow channel (8) to the gas connection has acting as a nonreturn valve, a flat ring washer (9) which lies on a section (10) of the through channel opening and which covers an inner connection (11) to the supply channel (8). The opening movement of the valve disc is limited by an inwardly projecting part (12) of the sleeve. The introduction of the operating instrument is undertaken with little friction as the cap is operated by the difference in gas pressure on either side of it.
