Wiring harness arrangement for motor vehicle

A wiring harness system for a motor vehicle uses a plug plate (12) with at least one lockable plug(13) in it, assigned to a cable through which an electrical control unit or load in the engine bay (5) is connected to an element (23) of the harness within the passenger cabin. There is a casing (17,21) incorporating the plug unit and sealing it from the bay, through which the cable(14) passes. The plug plate is fastened to a holder (8) inside the passenger cabin. The relevant section of the holder is aligned with a recess (7) in the dividing wall, this recess being sealed by the housing in the manner of a lid. The holder is part of a frame (9) within the cabin.
