Automobile electric sunroof

The sunroof has at least one opening panel (2, 3) which is supported by guide elements (5, 6) displaced along guide rails (8) extending parallel to the side edges of the sunroof panel, under control of the electrically-driven operating mechanism.The guide rails have a given radius of curvature relative to a plane defined by the longitudinal axis (X) of the vehicle and the vertical axis (Z) and pref. are provided with an integral water drainage channel. Pref. the guide rails are formed from extruded Al profile rails.
