Characterising objects with magnetisable iron part

The method characterises objects which have at least one magnetisable iron component which passes an electromagnetic identification device. An alternately polarised stamp is applied to the magnetisable iron component. The stamp is read by a reading device for identification.The appts. (1) has at least one writing head (7) which strikes the magnetisable part of the object (2) and a reading head (9). A data processor is associated with the reading and writing heads (9,7).
