Focusing appts. esp. for feeding light from point source into optical waveguide

The appts. focuses all of the radiated light of an essentially point formed light source. Esp. for feeding light, without any loss, into the input end of an optical waveguide. The light source is arranged in the middle (2) of a hemispherical mirror (1). A sectioned elliptical mirror (3) is connected to the hemispherical mirror (1). A focal point of the elliptical mirror (3) coincides with the middle point (2) of the hemispherical mirror (1).A converging lens (9) is arranged in the radiation cone (10). This lens (9) is formed such that it portrays light at the middle point (2) at the second focal point (7). Preferably, the free edges (6) of the elliptical mirror (3) lie in the middle of the two focal points (2,7).
