Stepping transformer load switching device

The switching device has a number of stationary contacts in at least one plane electrically connected to the tap-off terminals of the transformer stepping winding. The stationary contacts in each plane cooperate with a pair of moveable selection contacts respectively coupled to the load terminal via a vacuum switch and via a series resistor and vacuum switch.The selection contacts are attached to respective selection arms (5, 6) operated independently via respective drives (3, 4), with both vacuum switches (8, 9) supported by the selection arm of the auxiliary selection contact.
