FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion rotary engines, compressors, pumps, flowmeters, dampers and other devices requiring effective sealing of working chambers of different outlines (rectangular, trapezium-shaped, half-round, round and others_. SUBSTANCE: sealing arrangement has minimum three sealing members placed in blade of rotary machine and engaging with each other by end face surfaces. One of sealing members can be made springy or split to press other members to each other and to surfaces to be sealed. Use of split member instead of spring seal makes it possible to make all sealing members rigid, which are easy to manufacture, and use of split member together with spring seal permits the use of wider spring seal, thus increasing the area of contact with surface to be sealed. Offered sealing arrangement cuts down losses of working medium in working chambers of different machines, thus increasing efficiency of machines and making it possible to reduced number of sealing rows in some machines which cuts down friction losses and simplifies design of machines. Offered sealing arrangement is exposed, to a smaller degree, to action of centrifugal and other forces which cause development of clearances in operation of sealing arrangement. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability of sealing. |
