Appts. for application of electric fields to living tissue

Travelling electrical waves are applied to tissues, organs or technical materials from an arrangement of a frequency generator for producing multi-phase voltage signals with frequencies between a few Hz and GHz and at least three electrode arrays (11,12,13,14) connected to the frequency generator. Amplitude of the voltage signals is pref. in the range from mV to 50 V. The electrodes may be positioned in a planar fashion on a rigid or flexible backing (15) that can be fixed to tissue or organ without dielectric coupler. Backing is pref. of glass or Si or polyimide film and electrodes are of highly conductive materials, e.g. Au, Pt, Cu, graphite.
