<p>A layout structure for a power train for a vehicle in which an engine and a transaxle for transmitting a driving force outputted from the engine to front axles are disposed in an engine compartment on a front side of the vehicle with their axes being oriented transversely of the vehicle, and in which lower arms for supporting front wheels are each supported at two points in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, said layout structure being characterized in that a longitudinal front-most point of a rigid body consisting of the engine and the transaxle substantially coincides with a longitudinal front-most points of the lower arms and that a longitudinal rear-most point of the rigid body consisting of the engine and the transaxle substantially coincides with longitudinal rear-most points of the lower arms, whereby it is possible to make the engine compartment shorter while keeping a sufficient crush stroke for an FF vehicle.</p> |
