A light-sensitive photographic silver halide (AgX) material has a base and photographic AgX emulsion layer(s) and contains a hydrazine cpd. in at least one layer, the emulsion layer and/or another hydrophilic colloid layer. The novelty is that at least one of these layers contains a water-soluble polymer (I) contg. an amino gp., except a prim. amino gp., to enhance the contrast.
