The guide bar for a warp knitter, with moving yarn guides (4), has a bus channel (19) extending over all the guides. Each yarn guide (4) is mounted to the guide bar (30 by holders (11) together with individual electrical signal receivers (18, 13) adjacent to each other along the guide bar length. Each has an individual address decoder (18) to control an electro-mechanical converter (13). The converter at least holds its respective yarn guide (4) and executes the movement commands for the succession of addresses for the same signal receiver.
