PURPOSE: To prevent the degradation or the picture quality by discriminating the picture recording method in accordance with picture recording information added to a picture and performing the processing adapted to the picture recording method based on the discrimination result. CONSTITUTION: A color printer controller 11 has a function to convert the printer language sent from the outside to picture data of Y, M, C, and Bk which a color printer engine 13 can print. A picture recording information adding part 12 adds information of the picture of picture data processed by the printer controller 11 and the picture output method of the printer engine 13 to picture data as picture recording information. The color printer engine 13 records picture data, to which picture recording information is added by the picture recording information adding part, on a recording medium (paper or the like). |
