FIELD: electrical purification of gasses bearing sulfurous anhydride from high-resistance dust to make gasses exhausts dust-free in different branches of industry (metallurgy, chemical, oil refining, building materials etc). SUBSTANCE: method provides for passing of part of dust-gas stream bearing sulfurous anhydride and humidified at least up to 90 % through zone of barrier discharge, in which in medium of radicals sulfur dioxide effective conversion into sulfur trioxide (up to 90 %) takes place. Dust particles in discharge zone are cleared from hydrocarbon impurities and are effectively charged with ions. In humidified gas solutions of sulfur trioxide are condensed on them causing decrease of their specific electrical resistance. Entering main gas passage dust particles mixing with dust-gas stream additionally decrease total specific electrical resistance, produced due to addition of sulfur trioxide. In contrast to existing methods of gas clearance from high resistance dust, that use humidification of whole dust stream or its treatment by electronic irradiation to reduce dust specific electrical resistance, passing of part of humidified gas through zone of barrier electrical discharge allows to decrease specific resistance of dust without significant increase of main stream humidity, that is favorable reflected on state of dust settled on electrodes for their effective regeneration. Dust sediments sticking capability is decreased and structural members corrosion is lowered. EFFECT: method allows to increase effectiveness of electrical filter operation and its service duration. |
