The present invention relates to a sill member consisting of an elongate profiled section, the lower part of which includes two rigid ribs (15, 16) extending longitudinally and closing up towards each other in order to define, between themselves and with a bottom part (17) of the profiled section, an slideway (18) open along a lower longitudinal strip in order to permit the insertion, via one end of the slideway, of a nail head. The nail head (20) and the slideway have complementary shapes in cross section, such that the said part (17) and the upper surface of the head are in contact along a longitudinal ridge defining an axis of rotation and so that the lateral portions of the head are guided by each of the inner faces of the ribs.
