Cogenerator with flame generated heat radiation

The heat radiation is converted into electricity by photocells, with utilisation of the non-converted heat. The co-generator consists of a burner (6, 33), ceramic strands (10), pref. contg. rare earth oxides, photocells (4), and a radiation transparent wall (5) separating the photocells from the ceramic strands. The closely spaced ceramic strands are carried by the ribs (9) of a winch-shaped body and form a separating plane between the flame and flue gas. Pref. the winch-shaped body with the ribs forms a flue gas direct. The ceramic strand forms a fabric, whose wefts have a high mechanical strength at high temp., being e.g. of SiC.
