To create a conveyor belt support intended for use with a belt conveyor comprising a frame and at least one support roller for a conveyor belt and capable of correcting lateral drift of the conveyor belt from the central position, it is proposed that the frame should comprise a foundation frame (42) and a pivoting turning frame (50'); that the turning frame should support the support rollers (52, 58, 60); that, in order to keep the conveyor belt (12) in a central position in the belt conveyor, alignment rollers (88, 90) should be provided in addition to the support rollers and arranged in such a way that the conveyor belt (12) running on the support rollers acts on at least one of the alignment rollers in the event of lateral drift from the central position, thereby causing the turning frame (50') with support rollers (52, 58, 60) to pivot into a rotating position in which the support roller guides the conveyor belt towards its central position.
