The apparatus is for detecting a disk installation error by using an auxiliary pick-up when changing a disk on the CDP. The CDP with the apparatus includes: a tray(2) for transporting the disk(1); a clamp(3) mounting and rotating the disk; a pick-up(4) detecting the recorded signal of the disk; and auxiliary pick-up(4a) sensing the mounting error of the disk by interconnecting the tray.
