<p>The bar-guiding tube comprises a centring slide (10) comprising balls (13) distributed in two parallel planes allowing the slide (10) to be locked either to the bar-guiding tube, or to the rod (11) of the push piston. This allows the push-piston to move, both for advancing the bar (3) towards the lathe and for allowing the piston to recoil, by depression towards the back of the device. The presence of the slide, normally mounted on the rod of the push-piston (2) makes it possible to eliminate buckling, and consequently float of the bar (3) and of the rod of the pusher in the bar-guiding tube. This allows a considerable increase in the number of turns of the bar and significant noise reduction. <IMAGE></p> |
