<p>A fluid actuated gripper mechanism with opposed gripper slides (12, 14) received on ways (24) of a housing (16) and actuated by opposed pistons (18, 20) received in a common bore (42). Each piston is transfixed by a coupling pin (82, 84) secured to one slide. Movement of the pistons and slides is synchronized by a lever (120) pivotally mounted in the housing (16) and having equally radially spaced apart and parallel elongate cam slots (122, 124) in which the coupling pins (82, 84) are received. <IMAGE></p> |
