The zirconia-based article, esp. one having a metallic appearance and decorative aspect, consists of taking a pre-shaped article of zirconia and placing in a furnace with a hydrogen-containing plasma, raising it to a temperature of 800 degrees C or more and holding it at that temperature for a period of between a quarter of an hour and three hours, and preferably two hours. |
