Reactivation of used solid catalysts and use of the regenerated catalysts

A fouled solid catalyst is reactivated or rejuvenated by subjecting it to sub-atmospheric pressure at a temperature of at least 100 DEG C. The regeneration process is especially applicable to a solid phosphoric acid or to a zeolite particulate catalyst used in the form of a fixed bed. The reactivated catalyst is used for the treatment of a hydrocarbon feedstock, such as olefin oligomerization.
