<p>PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate discrimination of input waveforms by providing a characteristic amount extracting unit which extracts a plurality of characteristic amounts of input waves based on the input waves detected by a detector and an infering unit which discriminates attributes of the input waves with execution of fuzzy inference with the characteristic amount data extracted by the characteristic amount extracting unit as input data and by performing fuzzy inference. CONSTITUTION:A waveform discriminating and inferring apparatus comprises a detector 1 which detects an input wave E, a characteristic amount extracting unit 2 which converts the input wave E detected by the detector 1 into a pulse wave P and extracts a plurality of characteristic amount of the pulse wave P and an estimating unit 3 which discriminates attributes of the input wave E by performing fuzzy inference with various characteristic amounts extracted by the characteristic amount extracting unit 2 as input data. When an input wave such as a seismic wave is detected by the detector, a plurality of waveform data featuring attributes of the input wave to be detected are extracted by the characteristic amount extracting unit, and the estimating unit weights the waveform data extracted by the characteristic amount extracting unit to discriminate the attributes of the input wave by execution of fuzzy inference, so that highly accurate discrimination of the input wave is possible.</p> |
