PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of accidents from CO poisoning due to the back flow of exhaust gas into a cabin by detecting CO gas inside the cabin of an automobile, and outputting a safety operation signal when the detected concentration of CO gas inside the cabin comes to a set reference value previously given for safety operation against CO gas. CONSTITUTION: The safety device 30 is equipped with a CO sensor 11, an unit time average CO detecting section 12, a ratio computation accumulating section 13, and with a comparison judging section 14 and the like, the comparison judging section 14 compares the accumulated value of each weighted ratio given by the ratio computation accumulating section 13 with the reference value of each CO safety operation such as an air introduction reference value given by a reference value setting section 15 and the like, when an accumulated value comes to the air introduction reference value, an air introduction control means 18 allows a blower 4 to be turned on, and also allows an outside air introducing damper 6 to be opened, so that outside air is thereby introduced into the cabin. And when the accumulated value comes to a reference value for starting a window opening operation, the air introduction control means gives an operation starting signal to a window opening operation commanding means 20, and furthermore, when the accumulated value comes to an engine-off reference value, it gives an operation start signal to an engine-off commanding means 21. |
