PURPOSE: To provide a recording material using vegetable oil free from a malodor and having biodegradability as a solvent for dissolving an electron donating color former developing a color by the contact with an electron acceptive coupler and imparting high developed color density. CONSTITUTION: In a recording material containing microcapsules including an electron donating color former dissolved in a solvent and an electron acceptive coupler, the solvent is composed of vegetable oil having a fatty acid residue compsn. with oleic acid residue content of 10-60wt.% and the peroxide value of the vegetable oil is 4 or less. |
