PURPOSE: To shorten a braking distance by reducing the extent of pressure in a wheel too of a lowμtraveling road of another system automatically, simultaneously with a pressure reducing action of the same wheel at a time when the wheel on the lowμtraveling road at one system side of a 2-channel system is locked, and also maintaining the fluid pressure of a wheel at the side of a highμtraveling road. CONSTITUTION: When a lock state occurs in a right front wheel FR during travel on a split road, a brake fluid in a wheel cylinder 6 of the right front wheel FR flows into a reservoir 8 by way of a spring storage chamber 13 to a decay valve 7, whereby brake fluid pressure is reduced to some extent, and a pressure reducing piston 5a in a decompressing mechanism 5 is shifted to the left by an action of fluid pressure in a wheel cylinder 20 at a right rear wheel side, closing a ball valve 16, and a decompressing chamber 14 is expanded, so wheel cylinder fluid pressure in the right side rear wheel 20 is also reduced to some extent. At the time of repressurization, the ball valve 4 is opened, closing the decay valve 7 instead, and the pressure reducing piston 5a is shifted to the right by dint of fluid pressure in a hydraulic pressure chamber 2b of a master cylinder, and then a brake fluid in the decompressing chamber 14 is made to flow back to the wheel cylinder at the right rear wheel, thereby making the fluid pressure go up.
