PURPOSE: To stabilize the attitude of a steering handle by providing an opening part, into which the tip part of a pedal support moved by impact force applied to a vehicle body is inserted, on a column support. CONSTITUTION: An opening part 21, into which the tip part of a pedal support 3 moved by impact force applied to a vehicle body is inserted, is provided on a column support 6. When a toeboard 5 receives a backward shock from the front of a vehicle body, only the pedal support is displaced backward in accordance with the behavior of the toeboard 5. The tip part of the pedal support 3 is inserted into an opening part 21 provided on the column support 6 to reduce the displacement of the pedal support 3. Consequently, even if deformation ranges over the toeboard 5, the change of the supporting angle of a steering shaft 15 is restrained. As a result, the attitude of a steering handle can be stabilized. |
