VARIABLE CAPACITY COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: To slow increase of a load torque in a clutchless compressor. CONSTITUTION: When the inclining angle of swash plate 15 which is supported on a rotary shaft 9 heads toward a minimum inclining angle, a transmission cylinder 28 and a shut-out body 21 are pushed against spring force of an intake passage opening spring 24 by the swash plate 15. The shut-out surface 21e of the shut-out body 21 abuts on a positioning surface 27 when a swash plate 15 inclining angle is a minimum inclining angle, and communication of an intake passage 26 and an intake chamber 3a is shut out. A throttle body 20 is protruded on the shut-out surface 21e. The throttle body 20 is interlocked with tilting of the swash plate 15, and it is projected/retreated from/in the intake passage 26. The diameter of the throttle body 20 is formed slightly smaller than the diameter of the intake passage 26. When the throttle body 20 is retreated in the intake passage 26, a passing cross section in the intake passage 26 is throttled.
