PURPOSE: To provide a roll for transportation in a heat treatment furnace. CONSTITUTION: This roll for transportation in the heat treatment furnace is formed with two-layered films consisting of an inner layer and outer layer on its surface. The inner layer is formed of a Cr silicide film formed by thermal spraying and the outside layer is a composite film consisting of Cr oxide and Si oxide on the surface of a thermally sprayed layer. As a result, the build-up resistance, peeling resistance and wear resistance of the thermally sprayed film is attained and the service life of the roll is prolonged. |
