PURPOSE: To hinder a lubricating-cooling coolant from infiltrating into an air nozzle by disposing a partition wall member on the front side of an air nozzle at the time of honing by rotating and reciprocating a honing head inserted into the bore of a workpiece. CONSTITUTION: At the time of honing, a workpiece W with a bore H is first supported on the support base 7 of a workpiece fixing device 5, and the end parts of the workpiece W are clamped by clamping devices 9. A cylinder 29 is then driven to move a honing head 11, and the honing head 11 is inserted into the bore H while guiding a head body 31 by a hard metal guide member 51. The motor 17 and the cylinder 29 are respectively driven to rotate and reciprocate the honing head 11, and at the same time a cylinder 47 is driven to move honing sticks 33 and bring them into contact with the inside of the bore H for honing. At this time, a coolant is jetted from the nozzle 75 of a feeder 73, and the coolant is hindered from infiltrating into the air nozzle 55 by a partition wall member 79. |
