PURPOSE: To provide a spandrel which has a simple structure and can be attached or detached simply by a single operation. CONSTITUTION: A rising part 12 which vertically rises from the rear side opposite to a decorative surface is provided on one of the edges in a width direction of a belt-shaped decorative plate part 11 whose surface comprises the decorative surface. A connecting part 13 extends from the forward end of the part 12 outwardly in the width direction. An front side engaging part 14 projecting to the front side is provided on the side edge outside the part 13, and near the side edge on the opposite side, a rear side engaging part 15 projecting to the rear side is provided. The part 14 and part 15 each have a S-shaped cross section, wherein curved parts having a semicircular cross sections 14c, 15c and 14b, 15b are respectively provided at the forward end and proximal end so as to project in opposite directions to each other, and the front side engaging part 14 and the rear side engaging part 15 of adjoining spandrels 10 are engaged with each other. |
