PURPOSE: To release alarm operation even if a portable machine having an intrinsic code is lost by reading out the intrinsic code built in an ignition key, check it with the intrinsic code in a vehicle and stopping alarm operation only when it coincides with the intrinsic code in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The owner of a vehicle uses a proper mechanical key 15, and when the owner inserts the key into a key cylinder 16 and turns on the ignition switch, the intrinsic code recorded in a chip 15a is read out by an immobilizer unit 17 and is checked with the intrinsic code in the vehicle. Only when the former intrinsic code coincides with latter intrinsic code, an engine control unit 18 normally starts, starting an engine. At the same time, an unlock state warning unit 4 stops an alarm. Even if the owner lost a portable machine 1 having the intrinsic code, the owner can stop warning. In case where a dishonest mechanical key 15 is used, the alarm cannot be stopped. |
