<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the degradation of fuel consumption to a minimum while suppressing the generation of knocking and the increase of NOx by selecting control on the better fuel consumption side between fuel consumption at the time of controlling ignition timing advance correction and fuel consumption at the time of controlling target rotating speed increase correction. CONSTITUTION: When knocking is detected by a knock sensor, the target rotating speed correction quantity NER is corrected to NER+α(102), and a fuel consumption ratio SF after the correction of the target rotating speed is computed (104). The spark advance correction quantity SAR is further corrected to SAR-β(106), and the fuel consumption ratio SFCA after spark advance correction is computed (108). The fuel consumption ratio SFCN after the correction of target rotating speed is obtained from a two-dimensional map of engine speed Ne - engine torque Te, and the fuel consumption ratio SFCA after spark advance correction is obtained from a three- dimensional map of engine speed Ne - engine torque Te - spark advance SA. The obtained fuel consumption ratios SFCN, SFCA are compared with each other (119), and engine speed or advance correction is selected according to the better fuel consumption ratio (114).</p> |
