METALLIC FILAMENT BODY SURFACE POLISHING METHOD

PURPOSE: To use the whole surface of polishing material so as to reduce labor required for maintenance by a large margin and reduce the cost of the polishing surface clean and active as well as uniform throughout in the longitudinal direction of a metallic filament body. CONSTITUTION: Belt-line final cloth 3 delivered from a bobbin 4 is brought into contact with plural rollers 6. Radial constant pressure load is applied to these rollers 6 so as to press the belt-like final cloth 3 to the surface of a metallic filament body 1 traveling in one direction. The belt-like final cloth 3 is then wound continuously or intermittently to move while being shifted in a direction not coinciding with the travel direction of the metallic filament body 1.
