<p>PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive disc brake capable of reliably holding an outer pad by means of a pair of claw parts positioned on the opposite side to a cylinder part across a disc rotor. CONSTITUTION: An elliptic engaging protrusion 36 whose both ends have the radius of curvature approximately equal to or larger than the radius of a cylinder bore 18a of a cylinder part is formed on a back plate 34 for constituting an outer pad 28 arranged between a disc rotor 10 and a pair of claw parts 22, 24 of a caliper 12 by press working such as coining. On the other hand, inner side surfaces 22a, 24a of a pair of claw parts 22, 24 are formed into circular-arc shapes matching to the engaging projecting part 36, and the engaging projecting part 36 is engaged with the inner side surfaces 22a, 24a, and therefore the outer pad 28 is so held as not to be moved in the circumferential direction of the disc rotor 10.</p> |
