<p>PURPOSE: To prevent camber in a rolling stock by making the quantity of horizontal deflection or horizontal support differentiated between an upper and a lower work roll, on the basis of the estimated position of the vertical displacement of the upper and lower work roll. CONSTITUTION: A rolling load outputted by a load cell 21, output signal from a thickness gauge 29, displacement outputted by a displacement gauge 28 for reduction cylinder, etc., are inputted in a passline variation compensator 30 for the variation of the passline to be computed. The signal of the passline variation is inputted in a device 24 for setting a horizontal cylinder position; the correction value of the upper and lower horizontal cylinders is calculated, with the control quantity for each upper and lower horizontal position differentiated for the correction value corresponding to the passline variation; and the instruction is given to servo valves 17-i, 18-i. Rolling is possible with a horizontal relative position maintained between the upper and lower work rolls, thereby preventing the camber of the rolling stock.</p> |
