PURPOSE: To eliminate influence of an input from 3 pedal support member side onto a steering column side even when the pedal support member is installed in a vehicle body bracket to which the steering column is fixed. CONSTITUTION: A pedal support member 23 is supported over a vehicle body side bracket 1 to which a steering column 2 is fixed and a tow board 10, and the pedal support member 23 is installed in a partition plate 13 of the vehicle body side bracket 1 via a long hole 24, so that supporting rigidity of the pedal support member 23 is sufficiently secured. A posture of the vehicle body side bracket 1 is maintained by means of its relative movement even when the pedal support, member 23 is shifted to the rear side, and the steering column 2 is prevented from rotating upward or jumping out to a vehicle room 9 side in the case of a collision, while an input from the pedal support member 23 side causes no influence on the steering column 2 side even when the pedal support member 23 is installed in the vehicle body bracket 1 to which the steering column 2 is fixed. |
