REGENERATOR FOR GLASS FUSING FURNACE

PURPOSE: To obtain a regenerator for a glass fusing furnace which prevents the collapse of checker bricks and the closing of vent holes and executes heat exchange with high accuracy by passing waste combustion gases uniformly over the entire part of the checker packing in the regenerator without generating drifts in the waste combustion gases fed into the regenerator. CONSTITUTION: The regenerator 12 for the glass fusing furnace has a port mouse 16 successively provided with a port 13 communicating with the space in the part upper than the fused glass in a melting chamber and is internally stacked with the checker bricks 11. The checker bricks 11 in the uppermost stage in the regenerator 12 are stacked in a staircase form from the port mouse 16 side of the regenerator toward the side walls 18 facing each other.
