PURPOSE: To produce an abrasion resistant member having high static and dynamic adhesiveness and capable of efficiently entwining its short fibers around a rubber layer and strongly bonding the short fibers to the rubber layer of a rubber product by embedding a fiber cord which is subjected to immersing treatment with fibrillated short fiber-mixed rubber paste into the rubber layer. CONSTITUTION: This member comprises a cord which is embedded in a rubber layer constituting a product body of a rubber product to reinforce the product body and subjected to immersing treatment with a rubber paste in which fibrillated short fibers are mixed. The blend amount of the short fibers is 0.5-4.0 pts.wt. based on solid content of the rubber paste. The member comprises a base fabric for reinforcing a product body and the base fabric is similarly subjected to the immersing treatment. An aramid fiber, polyamide fiber, etc., in which molecular chain is highly oriented to the fiber axial direction is used as the short fiber. |
