PURPOSE: To abolish a connecting pipe of a regulator so as to simplify a pipe structure by using a fuel pressure regulator of constant pressure type and compensating fuel injection amount from a fuel pressure difference across an injector and a pressure in an air intake pipe. CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensor 14 to detect pressure in an air intake pipe is provided in the air intake pipe 164. Also a means to estimate and calculate a fuel pressure in a fuel pipe 180 from the signals detected by multiple sensors for detecting the operating conditions of an engine and a compensation value calculating means to compensate fuel injection amount based on the fuel pressure estimated by that means and the detected pressure in the air intake pipe are provided in a control unit 151. Then a pressure regulator 169 of constant pressure type is used, and arranged in the fuel tank 155. Thus the control unit 151 sets a specified reference pressure difference using a constant pressure type pressure regulator 169, and controls the fuel injection amount of an injector according to a difference between a pressure difference across the injector and a reference pressure difference using a separately estimated fuel pressure and pressure in the air intake pipe. |
