The apparatus and method optimally distributes the coolant, passed through a diversion tube installed at an entrance of an evaporator, into each path by sensing the temperatures of the coolant at the exit/entrance of the evaporator and using a capillary tube. The apparatus comprises: the temperature sensors; a converter(8) converting the sensed signals into electric signals; a microcomputer(9) calculating the heating degree based on the sensed/converted signals, and selecting the appropriate coolant path based on the calculated heating degree; a switching means(7), controlled by the microcomputer(9) to vary the coolant supplying length of the capillary tube(3A); an output means(10) driving the switching means(7). |
