PURPOSE: To provide a peanut processing method capable of effectively utilizing peanut shell by eliminating the waste shells of peanut in consumption and keeping the excellent taste and flavor similar to those of peanut roasted in the shell and provide an apparatus for the processing of peanut. CONSTITUTION: This peanut processing apparatus is provided with a roasting pot main body 10 containing smoking charcoal (c) as a heating source 31 in the pot, a nut transfer conveyor 11 placed in the roasting pot main body and performing the roasting of the shelled peanut (p) under transfer on the conveyor, a rotary shutter 21 for introducing shelled peanut (p) into the roasting pot main body, a rotary shutter 39 for discharging the shelled peanut (p) roasted in the roasting pot main body out of the main body and a smoking charcoal transfer conveyor 35 for supplying the smoking charcoal (c) consisting of shell of the peanut as the heating source 31. The shelled peanut (p) is roasted by heating in a half-closed roasting pot at a low roasting temperature. |
