The invention relates to a wave energy machine consisting of an energy absorbing floating drum with two axles on each side, sliders, and a compressing mechanism as the main components. The machine is designed to extract the energy from the waves, both breaking waves (surf) and non-breaking waves, by the forward and upward movement of drum when it is pressed by the wave, and at its return to original position of float, by sliding backward and downward on slider arms. The to and fro motion can be used for compression of air or other compressible medium for refrigeration or other purposes, or converted to rotary motion for the generation of electricity. |
