The screw cap comprises a top and a cylindrical skirt (4) having an internal helicoidal thread (6). The outside of the skirt has grooves (5) for facilitating handling. The skirt base is extended by a moulded security ring (7) which is joined to the skirt base by a zone of least resistance. The security ring comprises a collar (10) which is connected through an inflection zone (12) to an annular stop (13). The stop is turned inwards and has an inclination increasing towards the top so as to be engaged , during first mounting on the neck, under a peripheral neck projection. The inflection zone has three notches (20) in a part of its thickness. This notch locally reduces the double thickness of the rim enabling it to expand radially during its initial axial mounting.
