A novel industrial product is provided in the form of a simple, practical and low-cost device for easily pivoting a motor vehicle over a desired distance in a minimum amount of space without using motors and without operational dependence on electromechanical mechanisms. The device may be used outdoors or indoors in car parks into which it can be brought through the vehicle entrance/exit without carrying out special work. The device is operated by the driver or by any other available person, and it is completely safe to use, a braking device being provided which can completely immobilise the device at any time. The device remains locked in the stationary position while not in use and can be readily released when the device is to be pivoted.
