The visor consists of a rigid screen (5), which is designed to be pivoted on a horizontal axis (X), which is defined by a bearing (4), which is mounted within the screen and which carries the mounting arm (3). The mounting arm is designed to be pivoted around a vertical axis, formed at the end of the arm, which is mounted on the roof of the vehicle. The screen is formed by the assembly of two half shells (6, 7), which are formed by injection moulding from plastics material. The two half shells are placed together along the length of their peripheries (6a,7a), along the joint face (10). When joined together a peripheral groove (11) is formed. Internal ribs (8, 9) are formed in the moulding process and are used to preserve the shape and to aid the joining process. The outer surface of the screen is formed with a graining texture, formed in the moulding process.
