Compsn. for avoidance of slime formation and/or for the removal of biofilm on surfaces of water-bearing systems, comprises:(a) enzyme component(s) (of carbohydrases, proteases, lipases and glycol proteases) in combination with:(b) a glycol component of formula (I):R<2>(-O-R<1>)n-O-R<3> (I)n = smaller than 10;R<1> = 2-3C alkylene; andR<2>, R<3> = H, 1-6C alkyl or aryl. Also claimed is the use of enzyme and glycol components for the removal of biofilm.
